We (TellZee App, maintained by D-Inventions Technologies India Private Limited, "we", "us") recognise that your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our website at https://tellzee.com (or such other URL we publish) and/or the TellZee mobile application (the "App"). The website and App are together the "Platform". References to "you" or "user" mean any person using the Platform. We will not use or share your information except as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is part of and must be read with the TellZee Terms of Use. By using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

"Personal Information" means information that can identify you, as described below and as defined under applicable law.

The information we collect and how we use it

The following summarises categories of information we collect and typical purposes. Exact fields and permissions may depend on your device and app version.

Log-in and account data

What we collect: User identifier, mobile number, authentication credentials (or tokens), profile fields we require (for example gender or age range where collected to verify eligibility), IP address, and related log-in data.

How we use it: To create and secure your account, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, communicate service and policy changes, enforce our Terms, and provide support.

Profile information

What we collect: Photos, biography or description, display name, and other fields you add to your profile (including for host onboarding where applicable).

How we use it: To show your profile to other users as intended by the product, to operate host discovery and calls, and to improve the Platform.

Content you share

What we collect: Information you voluntarily provide on the Platform, including chat messages, images, audio, video, voice recordings, status or profile content, and metadata (such as time and duration) associated with calls or messages. Other users may share content that refers to you (for example mentions or call records).

How we use it: To operate chat and calls, display content to recipients you interact with, enforce our Content & Community Guidelines, ensure safety, handle disputes, and comply with law. We process communications to deliver the service; we may review or retain certain data where required for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

Information from other sources

What we collect: We may receive information from partners such as payment providers, verification vendors, analytics providers, or cloud services, combined with data collected on the Platform.

How we use it: To provide and improve the Services, verify hosts, process payments, analyse usage, and secure the Platform.

Log data

What we collect: Technical data such as device type, OS version, app version, IP address, carrier or network information, crash logs, and information about how you navigate and use the Platform (for example features used, session duration). We may use cookies or similar technologies on the website.

How we use it: To operate, secure, and improve the Platform, troubleshoot, analyse trends, detect abuse, and personalise experience where appropriate.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website (and, where applicable, in-app web views) may use cookies and similar technologies to distinguish users, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings where available.

Surveys

If you participate in a survey, we may collect Personal Information you choose to provide. A third party may run the survey; we will tell you before you complete it.

Search and usage inside the app

What we collect: Searches or filters you use (for example to find hosts) and related usage patterns.

How we use it: To show relevant results, improve search and recommendations, and understand product usage.

Account security (OTP)

What we collect: Your phone number and OTP verification events.

How we use it: To verify identity and protect your account. We do not need ongoing access to your SMS inbox for routine operation beyond delivering OTP through your carrier as applicable.

Chat data

What we collect: Content of chats between you and other users when you use chat features.

How we use it: To deliver messages, enforce policies, support safety and disputes, and meet legal obligations. Data may be stored on our servers and your device as needed for the service.

Contacts (if you grant access)

What we collect: If you choose to allow contacts access for a feature that uses it, we process contacts as disclosed in the permission prompt.

How we use it: Only for the stated feature (for example invites or matching, if offered). You can deny access; some features may not work without it.

Location information

What we collect: Approximate or precise location if you enable location-based features, or derived from IP address for security and localisation.

How we use it: For fraud prevention, compliance with regional rules, features you opt into, and language or region customisation.

Customer support

What we collect: Information you provide when contacting support.

How we use it: To investigate and resolve issues.

Device data

What we collect: Device attributes (OS, model, identifiers), network information, storage availability, battery or signal where relevant, and app permissions you approve (such as camera, microphone, notifications).

How we use it: To run audio/video calls, uploads, notifications, improve compatibility, secure accounts, and optimise performance.

Media on your device

What we collect: If you grant access, photos, videos, or files you select to upload (for example for profile or KYC).

How we use it: To let you share media you choose, complete verification, and customise experience. We request access only as needed and with consent where required.

Contests or promotions

If we run contests, we use the information you submit to run the promotion and award prizes, as described in the contest rules.

Payments and wallet

What we collect: Transaction references, wallet/coin activity, and payment status as processed by payment partners (we do not store full card details on our servers where payments are handled by certified providers).

How we use it: To process purchases, calls, payouts to hosts, and compliance. See also our Coins Policy.

Disclosure of your information

Content visible to others

Information you place on your profile or send to other users may be visible to those users according to product design. Recipients may copy or reshare content outside our control. Think carefully about what you share.

Group companies

We may share Personal Information with our affiliates (entities under common control) for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

What you share via other apps

If you use device share features (for example to share a link to another app), the recipient platform's privacy policy governs that sharing. We are not responsible for how others use what you share.

If we sell, merge, or transfer business assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy, to the extent required by law.

We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties in the ordinary sense of a data broker sale; we may use aggregated or anonymised data as permitted by law.

Security practices

We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect information we hold. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Do not share passwords or OTPs.

Where we store your personal information

We use reputable cloud infrastructure (for example Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or similar providers) in regions we configure for service delivery and compliance. Provider security and privacy terms apply in addition to this Policy. See providers' documentation (for example Google Cloud security and AWS compliance).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or email. Please review this page periodically.

Disclaimer

Internet transmission is not completely secure. We work to protect your Personal Information but cannot guarantee absolute security. Transmission is at your risk; once received, we use safeguards designed to limit unauthorised access.

Your rights

You may update certain Personal Information in your account settings. You may request access, correction, or deletion subject to law and our retention needs. You may opt out of promotional emails using instructions in those messages; transactional and security messages may continue while you have an account.

Under applicable Indian rules (including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011), you may request review or correction of information we hold, and may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based—withdrawal may limit features (for example without camera access, video calls may be unavailable).

To exercise rights, contact support@tellzee.com. We may need reasonable time (for example up to 30 (thirty) days) to respond. To delete your account, use in-app SettingsDelete Account where available; see our Account Deletion FAQ.

Data retention

We retain Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including contracts, disputes, safety, and legal compliance. We may retain call-related records, messages, media, and verification data as described in our policies and as required by law. Backups, caches, or copies held by other users may persist for a period. Public or shared content may remain visible to others until removed or overwritten.

"Sensitive Personal Information" includes passwords and categories treated as sensitive under applicable rules; we limit retention and access accordingly.

Third-party links

The Platform may contain links to third-party sites or services. Their privacy policies apply—not this Policy. Review them before providing data.

Third-party services and embeds

Some content or features may rely on third parties (for example video or maps embedded in web views, or SDKs for calls, push notifications, or payments). Those providers may collect data under their own terms. Non-exhaustive examples include:

Embedded content (such as videos in a web view) may send data to the host site as if you visited it directly. Those services are governed by the third party's policy, not this one.

Communications from us

We may send service-related messages (security, account, policy, or maintenance notices) by SMS, email, or in-app notification. You may not opt out of essential service communications while maintaining an active account where those messages are legally or operationally required.

Grievance officer

We appoint a Grievance Officer to address concerns about data safety, privacy, and Platform use. We aim to resolve grievances within 15 (fifteen) days of receipt where feasible.
